Today, leaders of Sanyukt Kisan Morcha (Non-Political) and Kisan Mazdoor Morcha organized a press conference in Chandigarh.
Farmer leaders told that in Hisar, Sirsa, Ambala, Fatehabad, Sonipat, Panipat, Jind, Kurukshetra, Yamunanagar of Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan, the ‘Asthi Kalash Yatra’ of martyred farmer Shubhakaran Singh is going on in different districts since March 16, in which farmers are participating in large numbers to pay tribute to the martyrs of the farmers’ movement.
Tribute ceremonies will be organized on 22nd March at Majra Pyau in Hisar, Haryana and on 27th March in Rajasthan and on 31st March at Mohra Mandi in Ambala, Haryana, in which lakhs of farmers will participate.
The top leadership of Sanyukt Kisan Morcha (Non-Political) and Kisan Mazdoor Morcha will participate in these tribute ceremonies.
Farmer leaders strongly criticized the statement given by the RSS General Secretary against the farmers’ movement. It should be noted that the RSS General Secretary had given statement in which he had said that separatist forces are trying to spread anarchy in the name of the farmers’ movement.
Farmer leaders said that the statement given by RSS shows that anti-farmer thinking is deeply embedded among the people in power. Farmer leaders said that history is witness to the fact that whenever it comes to making sacrifices to protect the unity and integrity of the country, the farmer-labor community has made the maximum sacrifices, whether it is the freedom movement, 1962, 1965, Be it the wars of 1971 or 1999 whereas on the other hand, RSS did not hoist the tricolor flag of the country at its headquarters for 52 years.
Farmer leaders said that if BJP-RSS see separatist forces in this farmers’ movement, then why did the central government hold 4 rounds of talks with the agitating farmers? Farmer leaders said that many tactics are being adopted and conspiracies are being hatched by BJP-RSS to defame the farmer movement and the people of the country need to be cautious in the coming times.
