Jalandhar: Due to dense fog in Jalandhar, Punjab, 2 buses collided with each other. About 2 to 3 passengers were injured due to this. This incident took place on the Ambedkar flyover in Phillaur town located on the Jalandhar-Ludhiana highway. After the collision, one of these buses broke the railing of the bridge and hung down.
At the same time, the other bus got damaged and climbed on the divider. As soon as the information of the incident was received, the police of Phillaur police station reached the spot. The police got the damaged buses on the side and got the traffic smooth on the highway.
ASI Jaswinder Singh, who reached the spot for investigation, said that this accident happened at around 7 am today. Due to dense fog, the buses collided with each other. Fortunately, no passenger was injured in the incident. The private bus hit the UP Roadways bus from behind.
At present, the police have safely evacuated all the passengers from the spot. Those who have suffered minor injuries have been treated. With the help of a crane, both the buses have been moved to the side, due to which the highway has started again.
Eyewitness Varkam Singh has said that the UP roadways bus was moving slowly due to fog. Meanwhile, a private sleeper bus came from behind and hit the roadways bus at a high speed. Due to this, the roadways bus lost control, and broke the railing of the bridge and hung half down.
However, there were a few passengers in the bus, who were immediately taken off. No one else in the bus was hurt. Apart from this, there was no passenger in the sleeper bus. There were a driver and conductor in it, who had suffered minor injuries. He too could not control the bus after the collision, and the bus climbed the divider.
