Two cars collided on Jalandhar-Amritsar National highway, Drunk and Drive suspected

In a tragic news, yesterday late night, two vehicles collided in Jalandhar. It is reported that two vehicles collided fiercely near Pathankot Chowk in the city. This accident happened at 10 pm on Jalandhar Amritsar National Highway. As per the information received from the people, both the vehicles were going towards Amritsar from the flyover built above Pathankot Chowk.

The black Zen car was being driven by Ashwinder Pal Singh of Begowal. Ashwinder Pal Singh said that he was going from Begowal to Amritsar and was hit by another speeding car from the back. Following the fierce collision, the black zen car went out of control and overturned in the middle of the road. Both vehicles got damaged in the accident.

Ashwinder Pal Singh Begowal, who was driving the black Zen car, alleged that all four people in the other car were drunk. No casualty has been reported in this accident whereas one injured was rushed to hospital for treatment.

As soon as the information was received by the police about the accident, police reached the spot and started the investigation. When ASI Nirmal Singh of Police Station No. 8 was asked if the car drivers had consumed any intoxicating substance, he said that he did not any have any specific information about it and the matter will be investigated. Police assured that matter will be investigated and action will be taken against whoever is found guilty.
