Amritpal brother Harpreet remand ends in Punjab, Jalandhar police present him in court today

Jalandhar: The two-day remand of Khalistan supporter and newly elected MP from Shri Khadoor Sahib seat Amritpal Singh’s brother Harpreet Singh Happy ended yesterday. Today, the police will again present Happy and Lovepreet in court and demand remand. Because the police had sought ten days’ remand for Happy, but the court gave only two days.

At the same time, yesterday, i.e., on Saturday, the court had given a further date for the debate on the bail plea. The police had pleaded to the court for ten days’ remand, but the court was not happy with the arguments of the police, due to which only two days’ remand was given. Also, Tuesday, i.e., July 23, has been given as the date for the debate on the bail plea of Happy and Lovepreet. Happy’s bail will be debated in court on Tuesday. After that, the court will take further decisions.

Phillaur police arrested Happy along with his partner Lovepreet from Phillaur Highway on the evening of July 11. 4 grams of ice drug were recovered from them. Due to not getting remand of both from the lower court, the police have filed a criminal revision petition in the court of Additional Sessions Judge KK Jain.

Which will be heard today. At the same time, the police have already sent the person to jail from whom Happy and Lovepreet bought the drug. These include the names of ice supplier Sandeep Arora and Sandeep’s photographer friend Manish Marwah.

According to the information received, Happy and Lovepreet had come in their Creta car to buy an ice drug worth Rs 10 thousand from Sandeep, a resident of Haibowal, Ludhiana. The police had also caught Sandeep.

On this, SSP Ankul Gupta said that during routine checking, the police arrested both of them from the Phillaur Highway. Both were preparing to take the drug while sitting in a white Creta car with black glasses. The accused also had a lighter and a foil.

Khalistan supporter Amritpal Singh’s lawyer, Iman Singh, said on Harpreet’s arrest that the police had filed a false case under political pressure. The ruling Aam Aadmi Party is playing the politics of vendetta.

The Aam Aadmi Party is trying to harm the party being formed under Amritpal’s supervision. So that the regional party cannot raise its head in Punjab. This false case was made for 2-4 grams. The SSP of the district is holding a press conference for just four grams of narcotics.

The SSP’s press conference shows how many officials are involved in this false case. Earlier, the checking of vehicles was never done on the highway, but it was to be done today. In such a situation, Amritpal Singh’s family was targeted earlier too.
