Two smugglers arrested with 2 kg opium in Amritsar

Amritsar: Amritsar CIA Staff-2 of Punjab has arrested two drug smugglers. 2 kg 29 grams of opium and drug money worth Rs 4 lakh 70 thousand has been recovered from the accused. Police has registered a case and is investigating.

This action was taken under the direction of Police Commissioner Gurpreet Singh Bhullar. DCP Investigation Harpreet Singh Mander and ADCP Investigation Navjot Singh were the guides. Under the supervision of ACP Detective Harminder Singh, the team of Sub-Inspector Ravi Kumar and SI Paramjit Singh achieved this success.

The business was running for two years

The arrested accused include Amandeep Singh and Satnam Singh alias Satta. Amandeep Singh is a resident of Sultanwind Road. Satnam Singh is a resident of Mata Gangaji Nagar, Bhai Manjh Singh Road. The accused used to get opium from Jharkhand and supply it further. This business was going on for about two years.

A case has been registered in the matter

The police have registered a case under the NDPS Act in this matter. The investigation of the case is going on in B-Division police station.
