Jalandhar, June 8: Two friends died in a road accident near Goraya in Jalandhar, Punjab. They were on a bike and were hit by an unknown vehicle. The deceased have been identified as Simarjit Singh, a resident of Goraya in Jalandhar and Lucky (16), a resident of village Ghudka in Goraya. Lucky was the only brother of six sisters and Simarjit has two sisters.
As soon as the information about the incident was received, first the Road Safety Force and then the police of Police Station Goraya reached the spot. The police took the bodies of both the youths in their custody and sent them to the Civil Hospital, Phillaur (Jalandhar) for postmortem. At present, the reason why the accident happened is not clear.
Both the youths suffered severe head injuries
Shubh, a resident of the village, said that both the youths were riding a Honda bike. Both were coming from Goraya towards Sang Dhesian. The bike was not damaged much, but both the youths died due to head injuries. By the time we reached the spot, both had died. The police have taken the bodies of both in their custody.
Shubh further said that, looking at the bike accident, it seems that someone hit the youths from the side, and then a heavy object passed over them. Lucky was the only brother of 6 sisters, who was studying, and the parents got a boy after praying at many places. Simarjeet used to work as a mason.
SHO Virk said- some unknown vehicle hit him
SHO of Goraya police station, Sikander Singh Virk, reached the spot with his team. SHO Virk said- At around 8:15 pm, two youths were coming from Goraya towards the village of Sang Dhesian on a bike. Both the youths were very young. Both of them died in the accident.
The accident happened in front of a petrol pump
This accident happened in front of the petrol pump near the bridge on the said road. Both of them were hit by another vehicle, due to which this accident happened. The family members have been informed about the matter. Their statements have been recorded, an FIR has also been registered in the case this morning.
