“Under Agniveer scheme, youth will retire after 4 years, PM himself does not want to retire even after 75 years”: Pawan Khera

Chandigarh : Congress media in-charge Pawan Khera said that the BJP government, which came to power by promising to double the income of farmers, is now preventing farmers from even protesting. He said that the farmers are being maligned as Khalistani and terrorists.

Khera criticizes Agniveer Scheme and said that under the Agniveer scheme, the youth are being retired after four years. The Prime Minister himself does not want to retire even after 75 years.

Talking to reporters, Khera said that the people of the country have made up their minds to vote to save the constitution. In response to the issue of Rajya Sabha member and AAP leader Swati Maliwal, Pawan Khera said that Priyanka Gandhi has clarified the party’s stand on this issue and said that atrocities on any woman will not be tolerated in the country. He said that all the facts related to the matter should come out and action should be taken according to the law.

In response to a question about not forming an alliance with AAP in Punjab, he said that Congress is the main opposition party in Punjab. The opposition party has to raise the issues of the people. If Congress had formed an alliance with AAP, then who would raise the issues of the people.

Khera said that an alliance has been made on one seat in Haryana. The Bharat Jodo Yatra has benefited the Congress. Even after the elections, the Congress will fight to save the Constitution and the country. He said that the Congress is seeking votes on the basis of people’s issues and the works done by the Congress in the past, while BJP leaders are contesting elections in the name of Mangalsutra and religion.
