Khanna: A video of sacrilege came to light in Gurudwara Sahib of Dhilwan village in Samrala of Khanna. After which a wave of anger spread in the entire area.
Understanding the delicacy of the time, the police took quick action and registered a case on the charge of hurting religious sentiments and arrested the accused woman Jaswant Kaur.
Tampering with the holy form caught on camera
CCTV shows that Jaswant Kaur of the village, who is said to be a mental patient, comes to Gurudwara Sahib. She first sits near Shri Guru Granth Sahib Ji and tampers with the parts (ang) of the holy form. When other devotees came then the tampering with the holy form of Shri Guru Granth Sahib Ji is revealed there.
Sikh organizations expressed anger
After this incident, representatives of many Sikh organizations of the area reach the spot. A group also comes from Gurdwara Charan Kanwal Sahib Machhiwara. After which the police registered a case against Jaswant Kaur and arrested her.
The form is completely safe. Religious sentiments were hurt by the tampering. For which a case was registered. A special committee has prepared a report regarding other matters which has been sent to the Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib and the President of SGPC.
