Villagers protesting as 4 dalit women beaten up by a man near Samrala

Punajb : In Manupur village of Samrala tehsil, a major incident of heavy beating of four dalit women with sticks has come to light this morning. People have started protest in front of Gurdwara Sri Ramdasiya.

People from all sections of the village, including the Dalit community, are showing great anger over this incident and a large number of people have reached the protest. A large number of police force has also reached the spot.

Among the women who were victims of this torture, who were present there, loudly told about the incident that happened to them and said that they had gone to the fields to get green fodder for their animals as usual. Suddenly a person from the neighboring village came there and as soon as he came, he started cursing them. He started abusing them by using caste-based slurs. After this, he started beating these four Dalit women with a stick very brutally.

After seeing the condition of the women who reached the village after somehow saving themselves, the whole village has gathered and the people have started protest against this incident by protesting in front of the Gurdwara Sahib of the village.

The leader of Dalit society, Avtar Singh Manupur, have condemned the incident in the village as it is very shameful.

On receiving the information, the police officers have also reached the spot and the information about the entire incident is being collected. The people of the village are demanding the immediate arrest of the accused responsible for the incident and the people are sitting on protest.
