Chandigarh: The weather became pleasant after the pre-monsoon rain in Haryana and Punjab on Monday. Today, on Tuesday, a heatwave alert has been issued in 8 districts of Haryana and 13 districts of Punjab.
There is an alert regarding heatwave in Ambala, Sirsa, Fatehabad, Jind, Hisar, Bhiwani, Rohtak and Charkhi Dadri in Haryana. Last evening, there was rain with strong winds in Gurugram, Mahendragarh, Charkhi Dadri, Rewari, Jhajjar, Rohtak, Sonipat, Ambala, Yamunanagar, Panipat and Panchkula.
At the same time, there is a heatwave alert in Gurdaspur, Amritsar, Tarn Taran, Ferozepur, Faridkot, Muktsar, Fazilka, Moga, Bathinda, Barnala, Mansa, Ludhiana and Sangrur in Punjab.
This alert is only for today. Late on Monday night, a crack appeared in the Bhakra in Natheha village of Talwandi Sabo in Bathinda. Due to this, about 100 acres of crops of the farmers got submerged. Farmers allege that the crack has occurred due to leakage.
On the other hand, the Meteorological Department has issued a heatwave alert in Chandigarh. The temperature of the city has been around 40 degrees for a few days. There is a possibility of rain on June 28. There is no hope of relief from the heat before that.
Rainfall will be normal in Punjab-Haryana
In the next one or two days, monsoon will knock in Haryana via MP and UP. This time also, there are chances of monsoon advancing from both sides. The Meteorological Department has already said that this time there will be normal rainfall in Haryana.
At the same time, this time the monsoon will knock on time in Punjab too. Monsoon will reach Punjab within a week of reaching Haryana. The Meteorological Department has said that the rain will be normal this time.
