Ludhiana:
59-year-old Jaspal Kaur, wife of Aam Aadmi Party MLA from Raikot constituency Hakam Singh Thekedar, passed away on Friday.
Kaur was undergoing treatment at Medanta Hospital in Gurgaon. She underwent a surgery and failed to survive.
Her cremation is scheduled to take place in Raikot on Sunday, following the arrival of her daughter-in-law from the United States.
According to the MLA, Kaur had been battling high diabetes, which led to severe kidney complications.
MLA Thekedar said that his wife had been receiving regular dialysis at a private hospital in Ludhiana. “But, recently a wrongly administered injection at the Ludhiana hospital caused a large cyst to develop on her thigh and she was subsequently shifted to Medanta Hospital for surgery, where she breathed her last,” alleged MLA.
Thekedar stated that he does not intend to take any legal action against the Ludhiana based hospital.
