A 24-year-old boy died in mysterious circumstances at village Shergarh Gyan Singh Wala in Malot. As per the family, the youth allegedly died of overdose of drugs.
The body of the deceased was recovered from the cremation ground of the village, the police took possession of the body and kept it in the mortuary of the hospital for post-mortem. Police also registered a case against two persons and started the investigation in the said cse.
The deceased’s father Surjit Singh, uncle Sevak Singh and brother Jasmail Singh said that their son Jagmeet Singh (23) was addicted to drugs. The family also made mention of two people in the village who sell drugs.
The body was found from the ground. It is suspected that youth may have died because of an overdose of drugs.
The family of the deceased also said that about two dozen youths of the village are addicted to drugs. Family appealed that the youths of the village should be saved from the menace of drugs.
