Kapurthala: A youth from village Mander Bet of sub-division Bhulath of Kapurthala died under suspicious circumstances in Canada. It is being told that the said youth had gone to Canada a few days ago. Due to the news of the death of the youth, there is mourning in the family and village.

According to the information, 33-year-old Varinder Singh, son of Balkar Singh, a resident of village Mander Bet, had gone to Canada last week for a better future. His health suddenly deteriorated in the past few days, and he died. According to the family, this information has been received from their son’s roommate, Jaswant Singh, a resident of Nakodar in Jalandhar district. He said that Varinder Singh had died due to a brain stroke.

Father Balkar Singh told me that Varinder Singh was married about six years ago, in 2018. He also has two daughters. Before this, Varinder Singh had also gone to Malaysia and England last year, and after returning from there, he had now gone to Canada.

The family members of the deceased said that the family was celebrating Varinder Singh’s going abroad, but the news of his death plunged the family into mourning. Balkar Singh, father of the deceased Varinder Singh, has appealed to the district administration and the government to help him bring his son’s body to India. So that he can complete his son’s last rites and other rituals with his own hands.
