Two car collision in Nawanshahr claims one life, leaves another injured

Nawanshahr: A Zen car and a Skoda car collided fiercely near the village of Sudha Majra on the Ropar-Nawanshahr main road in the Nawanshahr district.

The other was seriously injured. After receiving the information, the Road Safety Force team reached the spot and took the injured to the hospital. At present, the police are engaged in the action in the case.

Road Safety Force officers ASI Kulveer Singh and ASI Kuldeep Singh said that the accident happened late last night. According to them, the Zen car was coming from Balachaur on the wrong side of the National Highway near village Sudha Majra. Manjeet Singh, son of Joginder resident Mutto Mand Balachaur district Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar, was driving the car, and Karan resident village Manewal tehsil Balachaur district Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar was sitting on the conductor seat. Karan died on the spot due to severe injuries. Manjit Singh has been admitted to Civil Hospital Balachaur for treatment.

On the other hand, the Skoda car that was going from Chandigarh to Amritsar was being driven by Harshdeep Singh, son of Sarabjit Singh, a resident of Amritsar. A Zen car coming from the front hit the Skoda car. This collision was so terrible that both cars were shattered.

The police of Kathgarh police station have taken both cars into custody and started further action.
