Radhika Apte: "FOMO? Never had it."

Mumbai: Radhika Apte, who now divides her time between London and Mumbai, says she doesn’t worry about losing work opportunities because she’s no longer permanently based in the city.

In an exclusive conversation with IANS, when asked if distance impacts the kind of projects she’s offered, Radhika clarified that it has never been a concern.

“If I want to do something, I’ll come. And if I miss it, I miss it. There’s something else waiting for me here. So no, I don’t believe that being away affects opportunities,” she said.

She further added that she doesn’t experience the fear of missing out.

“I don’t have any FOMO about missing out on anything. I don’t think anything is as big as we make it in our heads,” she shared.

Up next, Radhika will be seen in the upcoming thriller Saali Mohabbat, where she plays Smita, a soft-spoken housewife and plant enthusiast whose peaceful existence takes an unexpected turn.

Talking about her character, she said, “Smita loves gardening and enjoys a quiet life with her husband and home. But then something happens, and suddenly you’re taken on a very different, thrilling ride.”

Radhika described the film as a refreshing departure from conventional thrillers.

“It isn’t like most crime thrillers in Indian cinema today. At a time when everything is fast-paced and full of action, this film chooses subtlety. It thrives on silence, atmosphere, and stillness — and that’s what drew me to it,” she explained.
