In Rajasthan, due to the activation of the western disturbance, temperatures dropped on Tuesday. Temperatures in most cities fell by up to 5 degrees. Even today, 15 districts are under an alert for storms and rain. Jaipur, Dausa, and Alwar have been experiencing intermittent light rain since morning.
On Tuesday afternoon as well, there was light drizzle in some areas of Shri Ganganagar, Hanumangarh, Churu, and Bikaner. In the past 24 hours, the highest temperature was recorded in Phalodi.
In Kota, a scooter caught fire due to the heat. Meanwhile, in the next week, a yellow alert has been issued for intense sunlight during the day, storms in the afternoon, and light rain in some places. The intense heat may continue in early May as well.
Rain in the early morning, weather changed: In Jaipur, there was drizzle along with the wind in the morning. Due to dense clouds covering the sky since late night, the heat has somewhat reduced. Along with Jaipur, most areas of Alwar and Dausa districts have been experiencing intermittent rain since morning.
Mercury recorded below 40 degrees Celsius: Due to weakening of western winds and increase in the influence of eastern winds, the temperature in the state dropped on Tuesday. In Jaisalmer, Churu, Nagaur, Hanumangarh, Barmer, Pilani, Fatehpur, and Dausa, the temperature fell by up to 5 degrees.
What next? The heatwave is likely to continue in the southwestern parts of the state. In other areas, the maximum temperature is expected to drop by 1 to 2 degrees Celsius, providing partial relief from the heatwave. In the next 3-4 days, thunderstorms with winds (40-50 Kmph) and light rain in some places are expected. In the first week of May, heatwaves may still occur in some parts of the state. However, the cycle of rain and storms will also continue.
Temperature dropped in Jaipur, relief from heatwave
In the capital Jaipur, the maximum temperature of the day fell by 2.6 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature decreased by 3.7 degrees Celsius. Jaipur experienced slight relief from the heatwave on Tuesday. The maximum temperature was recorded at 40.9 degrees Celsius. Clouds are expected in Jaipur today, with a possibility of light rain in some places.

Alwar district experienced intense heat until Tuesday afternoon. The maximum temperature during the day remained around 42 degrees Celsius. However, the weather changed after 4 PM. After dense clouds gathered, there was relief from the heat. A day earlier, on Monday, there was rainfall in the district as well. After that, there was some relief from the heat.
Heatwave will continue in Udaipur
There has been a slight relief from the heat in Udaipur. On April 28, the maximum temperature in Udaipur was recorded at 40 degrees, which is 2 degrees less than 42 degrees on April 27. There has also been a drop in minimum temperature. The night temperature on April 28 was 24 degrees, while on April 27 it was 25.8 degrees.
Scooter catches fire in Kota due to heat
On Tuesday, the maximum temperature in the city of Kota was 43.5 degrees Celsius. The minimum temperature was 27.4 degrees. The temperature has decreased after five days. But the temperature still remained above forty degrees. On Monday, the highest temperature in April in eight years was recorded. Due to the intense heat, a scooter caught fire behind Ethas Hospital on Tuesday.
Temperature dropped in Sikar

At the weather center located in Fatehpur of Sikar district, the maximum temperature for Tuesday was recorded at 40.5 degrees.

The heat wave continues unabated in Ajmer. People are suffering due to strong sunlight and heat waves. According to the meteorological department, the maximum temperature on Tuesday was recorded at 40.5 degrees and the minimum at 24.5 degrees, which is about 2 degrees lower compared to Monday. Monday’s temperature broke the record of the past three years, as in the last three years the mercury had not crossed 42.3 degrees.
In Jodhpur, the mercury was 41 degrees
In Jodhpur city, the maximum temperature was recorded at 41 degrees Celsius on Tuesday. Meanwhile, the minimum temperature was recorded at 29 degrees Celsius.
