Rupali Ganguly Reacts Angry to Women's Reservation Bill Defeat

Mumbai: Popular TV actress Rupali Ganguly expressed her displeasure over the failure of the Women’s Reservation Bill to be passed in the Lok Sabha.

The “Anupama” actress expressed her disappointment by sharing a video on social media.

“Women’s Rights Pending for 30 Years”

In the video, she said, “In a country where Goddess Durga is worshipped, where women are considered powerful… the Women’s Reservation Bill has been pending for the last 30 years.”

She raised questions about the role of women and their contribution to society.

Targeting those who voted against the bill

Rupali criticized those who voted against the bill, saying that big promises and speeches are made on women’s empowerment, but when the real situation arises, many backtrack.

She said that 298 people supported the bill, while 230 opposed it, thereby suppressing women’s voices.

‘700 million women will not forget’

The actress said that the country’s 700 million women will not forget this decision.

She said, “We are women, and we do not forget,” and called it a major issue related to women’s rights.
