New Delhi: A clash broke out between two groups in Sabarkantha, Gujarat. Violence erupted in the area, leading to incidents of arson. Several vehicles were set on fire. Ten people were injured in the violent clashes. Police took immediate action and detained 20 people.
The incident occurred in Majra village in Sabarkantha. Speaking to news agency ANI, DySP Atul Patel said that around 10:30 pm, stone-pelting, arson, and vandalism took place, creating tension in the area.
Police registered an FIR
According to Police, “An incident of arson and stone pelting took place in Majra village at 10:30 last night. The police have registered an FIR. A case has been registered against about 110-120 people.”
More than 20 two-wheelers and 10 four-wheelers were vandalized in the violent clashes. Windows of several homes were also broken. Ten people were injured in the incident. Police are questioning everyone involved,” said police.
A large number of police deployed
According to police, tensions between the two groups had been brewing for a long time, and last night, this escalated into a violent clash. Police are investigating the incident. A large police force has been deployed to maintain peace in the area.
