Chandigarh: Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) president Sukhbir Singh Badal has appointed former MLA Arvind Khanna as a member of the party’s Core Committee.
Announcing the appointment in a post on X, Badal said Khanna is the party’s Halka Incharge from the Sangrur Assembly constituency.
Expressing confidence in Khanna’s contribution, Badal said his experience in political and social life would further strengthen the committee in taking pro-people and pro-Punjab decisions.
The appointment comes as the SAD continues its organisational activities in Punjab, with the party leadership focusing on strengthening its decision-making body.
