New Delhi: Hampton Sky Realty Limited issued a press statement on 9 May 2026 in New Delhi regarding Directorate of Enforcement proceedings. The company said it has complete faith in established facts, the legal framework, and the judiciary.
Mobile exports a govt priority sector
The firm noted mobile phone manufacturing and export is a flagship priority under ‘Make in India’ and the PLI scheme. India’s mobile export turnover jumped 127-fold from about Rs 1,500 crore in FY 2014-15 to Rs 2 lakh crore in FY 2024-25. UAE is the second-largest destination for Indian mobile exports. The company entered the export business in May 2023.
Claims independent checks prove exports genuine
Hampton Sky said it exported 44,471 branded units — 96.7% Apple iPhones and AirPods, 3.2% Samsung, 0.06% OnePlus. Each export was verified at multiple stages:
– Customs physical exam at ACC New Delhi with Let Export Order
– IMEI scanning recorded on Customs ICEGATE
– Cross-verification by Apple and Samsung against global activation databases
– Duty Drawback/RoSL sanctioned only after OEM verification
– UAE Customs import endorsements and Bank Realisation Certificates uploaded on DGFT eBRC portal
IMEI verification confirms authenticity
The company stated every handset has a unique 15-digit IMEI listed on invoices and shipping bills. Customs scanned each IMEI at export, and Apple Inc. and Samsung Electronics cross-verified them against global activation databases, confirming the handsets were genuine and activated outside India after export.
