Was accused of supporting Khalistan
In 2023, Shubh was accused of promoting pro-Khalistan ideology. One of his social media posts showed a map of India without Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab, which many considered anti-India. Due to this controversy, many of Shubh’s shows in India were cancelled. Especially his Mumbai concert was cancelled due to massive protests.
Some critics accused Shubh of insulting India’s national symbols in his statements and posts. However, he always denied this and said that his intention was to promote cultural identity and not to insult any country or community.
