A group of Sikh devotees led by Giani Kuldeep Singh Gargaj, Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib, left for Pakistan to participate in the Parkash Gurpurab celebrations of the first Guru, Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji. The group will reach Sri Nankana Sahib by road via the Attari-Wagah border.

This group is like a spiritual journey—where every step is another step towards the light of the Guru’s teachings. As per the program, the group will celebrate the Parkash Purab of Guru Nanak Dev Ji at Sri Nankana Sahib on November 5.

After this, the Sikh devotees will visit several holy shrines, including Gurdwara Sacha Soda, Sri Panja Sahib, Sri Kartarpur Sahib, Sri Ruri Sahib and Sri Dera Sahib. The group will return to India on November 13.

Each shrine is like a spiritual destination, where devotees find peace of mind and experience the Guru’s Bani. The Attari-Wagah border was closed for passengers since May 1 due to the ongoing tension between India and Pakistan, but for this special occasion, this check post will be opened only for the movement of the Jatha.

This is like a bridge that connects the hearts of two countries for a while, as if spiritual unity transcends physical boundaries. The purpose of this pilgrimage is not only to participate in religious ceremonies, but also to rekindle the love, brotherhood, and humanity of Guru Nanak Dev Ji. Just as a lamp lights other lamps, similarly, this Jatha is taking the light of the Guru beyond borders.
