CM Flying Squad Raids Sonipat Hospital, Unqualified Staff

Sonipat: A major and shocking incident regarding healthcare standards has come to light in the Kharkhoda area of Sonipat district, where a so-called multi-specialty hospital had been operating for a long time without any valid degree, registration or official permission.

Astonishingly, patients were being treated here relying solely on untrained staff; furthermore, medicines, laboratory facilities and admitted patients were also found on the premises during the raid. Acting on a complaint, a joint team comprising the CM Flying Squad and the Health Department conducted a raid and exposed the entire racket. This operation has caused a stir in the locality and has brought to light serious negligence within the healthcare services sector.

Raid on PC Multi-Specialty Hospital in Kharkhoda

A joint team from the CM Flying Squad and the Health Department conducted a raid on the PC Multi-Specialty Hospital, located near the Valmiki Temple at Delhi Chowk in Kharkhoda. During the operation, the team discovered numerous irregularities, making it evident that the hospital was being operated illegally.

Hospital Run by an Individual Who Completed Only a GNM Course

The investigation revealed that the hospital was being managed by Anil, a resident of Village Pai, who had merely completed a GNM (General Nursing and Midwifery) course after finishing his 12th grade. He possessed neither a valid degree, nor a registration, nor any of the necessary documents required to run a hospital at the time of the raid.

Treatment Being Administered Without a Doctor

During the raid, a female patient from Village Nilothi was found admitted to the hospital for the treatment of a respiratory ailment. The most alarming aspect was that no qualified doctor was present on the premises, and patients were being treated by untrained staff.

Untrained Staff and Operation of an Unlicensed Laboratory

The team also discovered five other employees on-site who possessed neither a medical degree nor any form of medical training. Furthermore, a laboratory was being operated on the hospital premises, where various diagnostic tests were being conducted. The investigation revealed that the lab was being run by an individual named Deepak, who was utilizing the license of a person named Sunil, a resident of Rathdhana.

A joint team comprising the CM Flying Squad and the Health Department conducted a raid, thereby exposing the entire illicit operation.

Unauthorized Stocking of Medicines and Unlawful Fee Collection

Medicines were being stocked in the hospital without the requisite permissions, and patients were being charged for both the medicines and medical services while undergoing treatment. These entire operations were being conducted in complete disregard of established laws and regulations, thereby posing a grave risk to the lives of the patients.

Preparations to Seal the Hospital; Equipment to be Confiscated

According to reports, this hospital had been operating continuously since 2021. The building housing the facility had been leased at a monthly rent of approximately ₹40,000, and healthcare services were being provided there without any valid authorization. Acting swiftly on the spot, the CM Flying Squad has alerted the police regarding the matter. A formal case is set to be registered based on the complaint filed.

Doctor: Treatment Could Have Been Deadly

Dr. Dheeraj from the Kharkhoda Health Department said that having untrained staff treat patients is very dangerous and could put any patient in serious danger of death. CM Flying Inspector Bijender Singh, Sub-Inspector Jitender (CID), Sub-Inspector Rajesh (CM Flying), Drugs Inspector Muniram, and Dr. Dheeraj from Kharkhoda Civil Hospital were some of the officials who took part in the raid.
