Alcaraz beats Fritz, lifts Laver Cup for team Europe

Berlin: Team Europe has won the Laver Cup due to the strong performance of Spanish tennis player Carlos Alcaraz. Europe defeated Team World 13-11. 21-year-old Alcaraz defeated Taylor Fritz 6-2, 7-5 in the last match on Sunday night.

Team Europe has won the Laver Cup for the 5th time. Earlier, Team Europe became the champion 3 years ago in 2021. Winning every match on the first day gives one point, while winning the match on the second day gives 2 points and winning the match on the third day gives 3 points. The team that reaches 13 points first becomes the champion.
