Jaipur: In view of the heatwave alert in Rajasthan, school timings have been changed in Jaipur, Kota and Bikaner. In Jaipur, school timings for students from pre-primary to class 8 will be from 7:30 am to 11:30 am.
In Bikaner, schools will open from 7 am to 11 am. In Kota, schools will open from 7.30 am to 11 am. School timings have also changed in Chittorgarh.
Here, in Barmer, Jodhpur, Udaipur, the day temperature increased by one degree Celsius on Monday, whereas in Jaipur, Kota, Churu, the temperature dropped by 2 degrees Celsius.
According to weather experts, the heat will start increasing again in the state from 22-23 April. In the next 2-4 days, the day temperature is likely to increase by 3 degrees Celsius in many cities.
Due to this, a yellow alert has also been issued for heatwave in 7 districts of the state on April 23.
Temperatures below 40 degrees in 17 cities
Day temperatures were recorded below 40 degrees Celsius in 17 cities of Rajasthan. Apart from Jaipur, maximum temperatures were recorded between 37 and 39 degrees Celsius in Ajmer, Bhilwara, Sikar, Udaipur, Baran, Dungarpur, Sirohi, Fatehpur, Karauli, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, Nagaur, Hanumangarh, Jalore, Pratapgarh and Jhunjhunu.
