Tiger Shroff Firing Case: 3 Detained in Kota, Juvenile Among Them

Kota: Three people suspected of involvement in the firing incident targeting Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff have been detained at Kota railway station in Rajasthan, as the investigation continues. The operation was carried out jointly by the Rajasthan Police’s Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF) and Kota City Police.

According to sources, one of the three detained persons is a 17-year-old juvenile. The other two have been identified as Hritik Kumar, also known as Roshan, 22, who originally hails from Begusarai in Bihar, and Rehan, 18, a resident of Sonipat in Haryana.

The three were reportedly travelling by train when they were apprehended. They are being questioned by police, and further details are awaited as investigators examine their alleged roles in the attack.

Seven rounds fired at Tiger Shroff’s BMW

The detention comes a day after gunmen allegedly opened fire at Shroff’s BMW in Mumbai’s Juhu area on the evening of October 18. According to the complaint, the actor was returning by car after playing football at around 7 pm when two unidentified men approached the vehicle and fired from the front and left side.

Seven rounds were reportedly fired, with five bullets hitting the vehicle. Shroff escaped unharmed, but his caretaker and driver, Firdos Ibrahim Baloch, sustained injuries. Police also said another person in the area was hit by a bullet during the incident.

The assailants allegedly fled after the shooting. A country-made pistol reportedly jammed during the attack, after which the suspects escaped on a motorcycle. Mumbai Police had earlier seized a motorcycle linked to the case near Andheri railway station.

Investigators are working to establish the sequence of events, identify everyone involved and determine the motive behind the firing.

Bishnoi gang claim under investigation

The Lawrence Bishnoi gang has claimed responsibility for the attack through a social media post that went viral. However, police are still verifying the claim and have not established the gang’s role in the incident.

Earlier reports suggested that the suspects may have fled towards Surat in Gujarat after the shooting. The detention of the three people in Kota is a significant development in the ongoing investigation, although their alleged involvement remains subject to police questioning and verification.

Mumbai’s Juhu Police have registered a case against three unidentified persons under Sections 109(1) and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), along with relevant provisions of the Arms Act.

Fadnavis assures action against those behind attack

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has described the firing as a serious incident and assured that those responsible would be tracked down. He said the accused may have been operating from outside Maharashtra, possibly from abroad, and that police would coordinate with other states and central agencies.

Fadnavis also said investigators would pursue the alleged handlers of the attackers.

The Chief Minister had spoken to Shroff following the incident and assured him that the suspects would be identified and apprehended. The investigation is continuing, with police questioning the three people detained in Kota and examining possible links to others involved in the attack.
