Engineering Student Dies by Suicide in Hanumakonda
In a separate incident, a 19-year-old engineering student, J. Keerthana, allegedly died by suicide in Hanumakonda district after being unable to cope with academic pressure.
Keerthana, a first-year B.Tech student at a private engineering college in Hyderabad, had recently told her parents that she was struggling to understand lectures and feeling homesick.
Her parents had called her back home to Gopalpur village in Elkathurthy mandal, and were planning to transfer her to another college.
However, on Saturday, while she was alone at home, Keerthana hanged herself. Her father, Krishnakar, found her and called a local medical practitioner, who declared her dead.
