Udaipur, April 20: A third-grade student died after a pole fell on his head at a private school in Udaipur. The child was hanging from a handball pole located on the school grounds when the pole suddenly toppled over, striking him on the head. The child sustained injuries, and the school staff immediately rushed him to MB Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries during treatment.

The tragic incident occurred at St. Anthony’s School, located within the jurisdiction of the Goverdhan Vilas Police Station, on Monday at 12:30 PM. Upon receiving the information, the Goverdhan Vilas police team arrived at the scene. The student, Maharth Raj Singh (8) son of Devendra Pal Singh Chauhan was a third-grade pupil. Maharth was the only son of his parents. The child’s body has been placed in the MB Hospital mortuary, where family members, relatives, and members of the community have gathered.
Handball Pole Falls
ASI Pratap Singh stated that the child was a resident of RK Puram, Teetardi. His father, Devendra Pal, works in the real estate sector. The accident took place around 12:30 PM. The child was hanging from the handball pole when he lost his balance. The pole fell directly onto the child’s head, causing severe injuries. He was immediately transported to the hospital, where he passed away at 2:00 PM while undergoing treatment.
