London, Dec 24, 2025: A 34-year-old woman in the United Kingdom has been sentenced to 21 years and six months in prison after being found guilty of her role in a heroin smuggling operation linked to Pakistan, authorities said on Tuesday. The case was prosecuted by the National Crime Agency (NCA) and heard at Bradford Crown Court.
Details of the Drug Operation
The woman, identified as Sidrah Nosheen from Bradford, was a key member of an organized crime group (OCG) that smuggled heroin from Pakistan into the UK and distributed it across the country. Officers discovered a massive stash of drugs roughly 85 kilograms of heroin with an estimated street value of £8.5 million concealed in multiple locations in her home.
Investigators found the Class A drug concealed inside clothing items such as leather jackets, which had been sent to Nosheen’s address in Woodside Road, Wyke. Once delivered, she removed the heroin and repackaged it into 1-kilogram deal bags. A search of her back bedroom revealed that it had been converted into a heroin processing station, complete with weighing scales, tools, buckets, packaging, and other equipment.
Evidence of Organised Crime Links
Further evidence gathered during the investigation included hundreds of phone messages between Nosheen and an accomplice in Pakistan about heroin shipments. Authorities also discovered that she had distributed multi-kilo consignments to contacts across the UK. On one occasion, she even collected £250,000 in cash for the OCG from a criminal contact in Bradford, prosecutors said.
Originally scheduled to face trial, Nosheen later changed her plea and admitted to conspiracy to supply heroin and conspiracy to import heroin. Based on her guilty plea and the severity of the offence, the judge handed down a lengthy custodial sentence this week.

Rick MacKenzie, a senior investigating officer with the NCA, underscored the serious threat posed by large-scale drug trafficking: “To outward appearances, Sidrah Nosheen lived an unremarkable life in Bradford, but the truth is that she was at the Centre of a plot to move large amounts of heroin around the country, dealing in the addiction and death that are inseparable from the Class A drugs trade.”
The NCA continues to target organized crime groups involved in narcotics trafficking to disrupt the supply chain and protect communities from the devastating impact of hard drugs.
