The Special Task Force (STF) of Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand Police has successfully busted a criminal gang that was allegedly helping candidates cheat in the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) Multi‑Tasking Staff (MTS) recruitment examination. How the Cheating Ring Operated
According to STF sources, the gang used illicit methods to relay answers, access confidential question papers, and manipulate the examination process. The network reportedly assisted candidates by providing them with answers and technological support during the test, possibly through hidden communication devices or accomplices posted near the exam centres.
The STF’s investigation included surveillance, tracing electronic communications, and gathering evidence from multiple locations across the two states. Police seized digital devices, mobile phones, SIM cards, and other paraphernalia believed to have been used in the operation.

A number of suspects have been taken into custody, including individuals alleged to be central figures in the cheating network. The STF is interrogating the arrested persons to uncover the full scale of the racket, including its reach and the total number of candidates involved.
