At least seven people lost their lives in rain-related incidents as intense monsoon showers lashed Uttar Pradesh. The IMD has issued a red alert for western districts, warning of extremely heavy rainfall, thunderstorms, waterlogging and flash flood risks over the next 24 to 48 hours.
