Uttarakhand will become the third state in the country.
Uttarakhand will become the third state in the country to have an e-Zero FIR system. Previously, this system existed only in Delhi and Madhya Pradesh.
With the implementation of e-Zero FIR, any victim in the state will now be able to register their FIR instantly from any location.
Victims will no longer need to immediately visit the police station where the incident occurred. They will only need to visit the police station once for signature.
What is e-Zero FIR?
e-Zero FIR is a modern and convenient police system, allowing victims to register their complaints online from anywhere, regardless of the jurisdiction of the police station.
Under the Zero FIR rule, a complaint can be filed at any police station. The police then transfer it to the relevant police station. In an e-Zero FIR, the victim will not need to visit any police station.
