The capital, Dehradun, experienced a mild daytime warmth. The maximum temperature here was 24.5 degrees Celsius, slightly above normal, while the minimum dropped to 8.8 degrees. Pantnagar recorded a low of 5.1 degrees Celsius, a clear sign that the cold nights are about to get longer.
The weather remained clear in the hilly areas of Mukteshwar and New Tehri, but the effect of cold remained.
