According to the meteorological department, orange alert has been issued in Pathankot, Amritsar, Gurdaspur, Tarn Taran, Kapurthala, Moga, Hoshiarpur, Jalandhar, Nawanshahr, Ludhiana, Rupnagar, Fatehgarh Sahib, Patiala and Sangrur on Saturday. While yellow alert has been given in Fazilka, Ferozepur, Muktsar, Faridkot, Bathinda and Mansa.
Along with this, if there is a hailstorm, then there is a fear of damage to animals, car mirrors and mud houses. Along with this, the roads can also be slippery. Meanwhile, people have been instructed to be vigilant.
The Meteorological Department has also given some suggestions to avoid lightning strikes due to hail or thunder.
