Windlas Biotech Employees Protest in Dehradun Over Low Pay

Dehradun: Employees staged a protest outside Windlas Biotech in Dehradun, alleging that they are unable to manage household expenses on monthly salaries of ₹11,000–₹12,000. The protesting workers said the low wages have made it extremely difficult to meet basic living costs, forcing many families into financial stress.

Allegations of Forced 3-Month Employment Break

The employees also claimed that the company imposes a compulsory 3-month break after certain work periods, which further worsens their financial condition. They demanded that this system be discontinued, saying it disrupts job security and regular income flow.

Demand for Fair Wages and Job Security

Protesters urged the management to increase wages in line with rising living costs and ensure continuous employment without forced breaks. They said stable income is essential for survival amid rising inflation and household expenses.

Workers Call for Immediate Resolution

The employees warned that if their demands are not addressed soon, the protest movement may intensify. They appealed for fair treatment, better working conditions, and long-term job security from the company management.
