The body of a woman was found hanging in a temple in Mandi today. The woman was a resident of the Gohar subdivision of the district. The body of 25-year-old Diksha Devi of Dugrai Basa Panchayat was found hanging from a dupatta in Chamunda Mata Temple, Kadhi Dhar. According to family members, Diksha had left home at 4 am.
After that the family searched for her everywhere, but she was not found. On Sunday morning, people passing by the roadside temple saw a woman’s body hanging on the roof of the temple. They immediately informed the police. According to the information, Diksha Devi, who is Sunil Kumar’s wife, was living in her maternal home in Gwad village of Syanj area for the last few months.
Local people said that Diksha had also gone missing for a few days a few months ago. At that time the in-laws had lodged a complaint with the Gohar police. Later she was found in Basa. Gohar police has reached the spot. Police are trying to find out whether it is a case of suicide or some other reason. Investigation into the matter is ongoing.
