Sonipat: A woman in Sonipat, Haryana, died after her condition deteriorated following an operation. The family alleges that due to the doctors’ negligence during the surgery, the patient’s small intestine was cut, causing excessive bleeding and ultimately leading to her death.
Open operation performed instead of laparoscopic
The family claims that the doctors initially promised a laparoscopic surgery, but instead performed an open surgery without providing any information. After the operation, the woman’s condition continued to deteriorate, but the doctors refused to share the correct information.
Money demanded for a second operation
According to the family, when the condition worsened, the doctors suggested a second operation and demanded additional money. They were also asked to arrange for blood. During this process, the family was also made to sign certain documents.
Doctor’s video and audio surface
An alleged video and audio have also surfaced in the case, in which the doctor is heard claiming responsibility and admitting that she does not know how to perform laparoscopic surgery. However, these claims have not been officially confirmed.
Police investigation launched, hospital unresponsive
Police stated that an investigation has been initiated based on the family’s complaint and action will be taken based on all evidence. Attempts were made to contact the hospital administration and the doctors concerned, but no response was received.
