Chandigarh: Chandigarh Police have formed a six-member Special Investigation Team (SIT) to investigate the alleged suicide of IPS officer Y. Puran Kumar. The move comes amid growing calls for a thorough and transparent inquiry into the circumstances surrounding the officer’s death.
SIT to be Headed by IGP
The SIT will be led by Pushpendra Kumar, Inspector General of Police (IGP), Chandigarh. Officials said the team has been tasked with carrying out a detailed probe into all aspects of the case, including the possible causes and circumstances that may have led to the officer’s death.
