A shocking kidnapping incident came to light in Rajasthan’s Alwar, where a young man was abducted by miscreants who demanded a ransom of ₹2 lakh from his family. The prompt action by the police helped rescue the victim safely before the criminals could carry out their plan.
According to police, the victim, identified as 21-year-old Shahbaz, a resident of Jharkheda village, lodged a complaint after he was forcibly taken away by a group of men in a vehicle. The incident occurred near the Double Gate area under the jurisdiction of the Sadar police station.
Authorities said the youth was heading toward the market with his friend Imran on a motorcycle when the incident took place. The attackers allegedly arrived in a Bolero vehicle and intercepted the duo on the road.
Accused abduct youth near Double Gate
Police officials stated that four men traveling in the Bolero car stopped the motorcycle near the Double Gate crossing and forcibly dragged Shahbaz into their vehicle. His friend was left behind as the accused sped away from the spot.
During the abduction, the kidnappers allegedly assaulted the victim and threatened him with serious consequences if their demands were not fulfilled.
The incident caused panic in the area, and the victim’s family soon became aware of the situation after receiving a ransom demand from the abductors.
Kidnappers demanded ₹2 lakh from victim’s brother
According to the complaint filed by the victim, the accused used his mobile phone to contact his brother and demanded a ransom of ₹2 lakh for his safe release.
The family immediately informed the police after receiving the call. Recognising the seriousness of the case, officers from the Sadar police station quickly launched a search operation to track down the kidnappers and rescue the youth.
Police teams began monitoring the movement of the suspects and started chasing the vehicle based on the information available.
Police action forces kidnappers to flee
The swift response from the police proved crucial in saving the victim’s life. As police teams intensified the search and pursued the suspects, the kidnappers panicked and abandoned their plan.
Fearing arrest, the accused reportedly released Shahbaz and fled from the scene. The police later recovered the youth safely and handed him over to his family members after ensuring his well-being.
Officials said the victim sustained minor injuries during the incident due to the assault by the kidnappers, but he was otherwise safe.
Case registered against four accused
Following the complaint, the police registered a case against four named suspects identified as Gaurav, Lokesh, Kuldeep and Hitesh.
Authorities said raids are being conducted to arrest the accused and further investigation is underway to determine the motive behind the kidnapping and whether the suspects were involved in similar crimes earlier.
Police officials also appealed to residents to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities to help prevent such incidents in the future.
