The entire atmosphere is stunned when a child, driven by drug addiction, even takes the life of his parents, without showing even the slightest remorse.
A recent incident occurred on Friday in the government quarters of Sector 22, Chandigarh. A heartbreaking incident unfolded here. A 19-year-old youth, named Armaan by his parents, killed his father, Head Constable Nitin, by shooting him in the head with a country-made pistol, not in a fit of rage, but through a well-planned conspiracy. Armaan’s mother is in the police and is an ASI.
Armaan also tried to strangle his mother, as the second bullet was stuck in the country-made pistol. His mother mustered courage, pushed him down, and then went to the terrace and started shouting. When people gathered at the scene, the accused son began to act. Crying and talking about unknown attackers, he confessed when the police acted tough.
During interrogation, it was revealed that the accused was a heroin addict. He was living in a live-in relationship with his pregnant girlfriend. He wanted to marry her and start a business. To achieve this, he asked his father for money. When his father refused, the angry son shot him in the head. The parents had once agreed to the marriage and wanted to get him engaged, but later the matter became entangled in financial matters.
The son conspired to kill his parents. The mother somehow survived, but the father was killed. Such incidents occur frequently. At this very moment, in the Chelli Panchayat of the Padhar subdivision in Himachal Pradesh, a father who was arguing with his mother was murdered by his drunken son. It was discovered that both father and son were intoxicated. One was beating his wife while the other, under the influence of alcohol, killed his father. The entire household was destroyed in a matter of minutes.
Recently, Union Home Minister Amit Shah launched a national campaign against drug abuse, aiming to make India drug-free by 2029. This is essential because the drug menace has so distorted the mindset of the younger generation that they feel no fear even when openly murdering relationships.
