Jaisalmer: A young man was detained on Thursday night around 10 p.m. in the Bharewala area of the Nachana police station area of Jaisalmer on suspicion of suspicious activities. This action was taken based on information from the Uttar Pradesh police, with the assistance of the Rajasthan police and security agencies. The young man is currently being held at the Nachana police station, where various security agencies will conduct a joint interrogation on Friday.
Investigation into connection with a Telegram group
According to sources, the young man’s number was found in a suspicious Telegram group. In this group, inflammatory and anti-national messages were shared. The UP police have so far detained four people in this case, including two Kashmiri youths. The entire network will be traced by examining mobile data, bank transactions, and contacts.
Background of the youth
The detained youth is originally a resident of Lunkaransar, Bikaner, and has been working as a farmer in Bharewala for the past 10-12 years. It was reported that the youth is a 10th-grade graduate.
Action by Security Agencies
Security agencies will conduct a joint interrogation of the youth on Friday. The investigation will gather complete information about his mobile, bank, and contact network to identify potential threats and identify other suspects.
