17-Year-Old Girl Missing in Kapurthala, FIR Filed Against Three Neighbours

Kapurthala, Punjab: A 17-year-old girl went missing in Kapurthala on August 14, 2025. According to the sources, the minor is missing from the Shekhupur area. Following the complaint by the girl’s elder brother, the police have registered a case against three members of a neighbouring family.

The complainant stated that on August 14, he visited his aunt’s house.

At 7:10 pm, her younger brother called and said that his sister had sent him to bring some groceries from the market. When he returned, his sister was not at home. The family searched a lot, but she was nowhere to be found.

Complaint Filed Against Neighbours

Investigation revealed that Sukhjinder Singh and his family from the neighbouring locality had kidnapped the girl by luring her with the promise of marriage.

City police station ASI Gursharan Singh said that an FIR has been registered against Sukhjinder Singh, Sonia, and Monu. All three accused are absconding. Police teams are conducting raids.
