‘Mission Rozgar’ Gains Momentum; CM Bhagwant Mann Hands Over Appointment Letters to 355 Youths

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann further strengthened the state’s employment initiative, Mission Rozgar, by distributing appointment letters to 355 young candidates. With this latest recruitment drive, the total number of government jobs provided during his tenure has reached 67,037. The Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann attributed this achievement to a transparent and merit-based recruitment process, stating that young people in Punjab are now securing government jobs solely on the basis of their qualifications, without the need for recommendations, political influence, or corruption.

Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann noted that examination paper leak scandals, including those linked to the NEET exam, have undermined the confidence of millions of young people across the country. He pointed out that reports indicate 93 paper leak incidents nationwide since 2017. In contrast, he emphasized that Punjab has not recorded a single paper leak case since 2022. Highlighting the government’s broader vision for youth empowerment, he said that Punjab is not only creating jobs but also fostering opportunities that encourage young people to stay, grow, and succeed within the state.

The Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann also referred to the government’s efforts to regularize the services of 65,000 contractual employees and its significant investment in skill development through the establishment of 25 new Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) and the modernization of 13 existing ITIs. He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to providing Punjab’s youth with the confidence, opportunities, and support needed to build successful careers at home rather than seeking opportunities abroad.

Addressing a ceremony where appointment letters were distributed to newly selected candidates in departments including Technical Education, Cooperation, Local Government, Water Supply and Sanitation, Animal Husbandry, Public Works, Housing and Urban Development, and others, Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann described the occasion as another important milestone in the Punjab Government’s ongoing mission to empower young people through employment and good governance.

Sharing highlights of the event on his X account, the Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann wrote:

“Today, appointment letters were handed over to 355 more young candidates, taking the total number of government jobs provided so far to 67,037. All these appointments have been made purely on the basis of merit and transparency. At a time when examination paper leaks, such as those involving NEET, are making headlines across the country, Punjab has set an example by ensuring honesty, transparency, and fairness in its recruitment processes while also achieving top rankings in the field of education.”

He urged the newly appointed employees to prioritize the needs of senior citizens and the general public while performing their duties. He added that the government remains committed to curbing the migration of young people abroad by creating meaningful opportunities for growth and success within Punjab.

Congratulating the newly appointed candidates and their families,Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann said: “In our government, hard work, dedication, and merit are the only criteria for selection. The days when government jobs were distributed on the basis of bribes, recommendations, or political connections are over. The Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann further stated that the newly appointed employees have now become an integral part of the government workforce and will play a vital role in building a prosperous and vibrant Punjab.
