4 Notorious Criminals Held in Amritsar With Pakistani Pistol; Two Linked to Bomb Attack on Congress Leader’s Petrol Pump

Amritsar Rural Police have scored a major win against gangsters and terrorist networks. In a joint operation, the police arrested 4 notorious criminals. From their possession, they recovered 10 Pakistani-made pistols, several magazines, and cartridges.

DIG of Amritsar Border Range, Harmanbir Singh Gill, said in a press conference that teams from LopoKE police station, Jandiala, Special Cell, and Amritsar Rural Police carried out the operation together. He added that gangsters across the border and anti-national forces are plotting to mislead Punjab’s youth and disrupt the state’s environment, but the Punjab Police are continuously taking strict action against such elements.

According to the police, from the first arrested accused, Jaskaran Singh, five pistols, nine magazines, and several live bullets have been recovered. During questioning, the identities of his other associates have also been revealed, and more arrests are expected in the coming days.

Meanwhile, the second accused, Manish Kumar aka Mani, has also been arrested, and three pistols and around 400 grams of narcotic substances were recovered from him. Police say that Manish has been involved in several criminal cases before.

Advocate Lakhwinder Singh murder case: Main shooter

In the third operation, the police have also arrested Rawaljit Singh alias Sonu and one of his accomplices. They threw a petrol bomb at the Congress leader’s petrol pump. According to the police, both of them are the main shooters in the murder of Advocate Lakhwinder Singh in Jandiala Guru. Not only this, but their involvement has also come to light in the recent firing incident on a sarpanch. Two foreign pistols have also been recovered from them.

The accused were in touch with the gangsters in jail

DIG Harmanbir Singh Gill revealed that the accused were linked to Pakistan’s intelligence agency ISI, foreign handlers and a network of arms suppliers through drones. Investigations have also revealed that some of the accused were in touch with jailed gangsters and were planning to carry out extortion, firing and murder.
