A post from the Indian Army’s White Knight Corps on X announced that the search operations, conducted alongside the Jammu and Kashmir Police, aim to prevent the terrorists from escaping. “Op Lasana. Additional troops have been inducted, and search operations are ongoing to prevent the terrorists from escaping,” the post stated.

In addition, the Romeo Force of the Indian Army conducted search operations in Poonch following the encounter with the terrorists. Officials reported that the terrorists opened fire on the Romeo Force personnel, injuring one security member near Lasana village, located along the National Highway connecting Poonch to Jammu.

In response to the incident, the area has been cordoned off with enhanced security precautions. Morning visuals from the scene showed Indian Army personnel conducting rigorous vehicle checks with the assistance of a dog squad. Lasana village is currently under tight security as joint operations by the Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police continue to thwart any escape attempts by the terrorists.

Earlier, amid ongoing operations and terrorist attacks in Jammu and Kashmir, the Indian Army reiterated its commitment to continue operations across the union territories until “terrorists are eliminated.” Shridhar Patil, the Director General of the Kishtwar-Doda Ramban range, stated at a press conference, “Until terrorists are eliminated, the operations will go on. The people of the area have given full support to security forces. These operations demonstrate the good coordination among security forces.”

Additionally, security forces seized caches during operations on Sunday, recovering one M4 rifle, two AK-47s, and various ammunition after three terrorists were killed in Kishtwar. The seized items included 11 magazines, 65 M4 bullets, and 56 AK-47 bullets, along with a cap, medicines, and first aid supplies. Officials have also reached out to the Pakistani side regarding the medicines, according to an official statement.
