Jhajjar: Indian shooter Suruchi Singh has won the gold medal in the women’s 10m air pistol event at the ISSF World Cup 2025 Lima. Suruchi Singh scored a total of 243.6 points to win the final match and defeated two-time Olympic medalist Manu Bhaker, who finished second with 242.3 points.
Yao Qianxun of the People’s Republic of China finished third with 219.5 points. Suruchi practices at the Guru Dronacharya Shooting Academy in Bhiwani.
This is Suruchi Singh’s second gold medal in the World Cup. She also won the gold medal in the women’s 10m air pistol shooting event at the last ISSF World Cup 2025 Buenos Aires.
Suruchi, who won 7 gold medals at the Shooting Nationals in New Delhi last year, won her first World Cup medal by scoring 244.6 in the final in Buenos Aires. Suruchi Singh and Saurabh Chaudhary also won a bronze medal in the 10m air pistol mixed team event in Buenos Aires.
Coach Suresh Singh said that Suruchi is a 10-meter air pistol shooter. She is originally a resident of Jhajjar district and practices at Guru Dronacharya Shooting Academy in Bhiwani. Suruchi had also won two gold medals in the National Games held in Dehradun. Currently, Suruchi has gone to Argentina for the World Cup and in this championship, she has won one gold and one bronze medal.
Suruchi is now participating in the world-level competition being held in Peru. The match is at 2 o’clock in the morning, and they are confident that Suruchi will return with a gold medal in this competition too. Coach Suresh Singh said that Suruchi comes to Bhiwani by train from home every day for practice and catches the train back home in the evening. Suruchi comes to the academy with her ex-serviceman father and two brothers.

Suruchi’s father Indra Singh said that there is an atmosphere of happiness in the academy and the family due to Suruchi’s achievement. Suruchi has been good in studies since childhood and is currently a BA first year student.
