Heavy rain and hailstorm alert in Himachal: Temperature may drop by 7 degrees

According to IMD, Chamba, Kangra, Kullu, Solan, Sirmaur, Mandi and Shimla districts may experience heavy hailstorms till midnight today. A warning has also been issued for storms with a speed of 50 to 60 kmph in some areas. People in these districts have been asked to be cautious.

The weather department’s warning has scared people, because on Wednesday night too, a storm has caused havoc in Himachal. The roofs of more than 50 houses in the state were blown away by the storm in one night. That day too, a storm blew at a speed of 100 kilometers per hour in many areas of Himachal. This has caused massive destruction in the state.

This has increased the worries of farmers and gardeners. According to the weather department, the weather will remain bad in some parts of the state on 20 and 21 April as well.

Know when an Orange Alert is issued

Let us tell you that a yellow alert is issued when there is less possibility of heavy rain and hailstorm. When there is more possibility, an orange alert is issued and in a scary situation, a red alert is issued.

The temperature will drop by 5 to 7 degrees

According to the Meteorological Department, the maximum temperature in the state will fall by 5 to 7 degrees Celsius today and tomorrow. Similarly, the minimum temperature will also fall by 2 to 4 degrees.
