Shimla: In a serious accident late Wednesday night, four construction workers fell from an under-construction flyover in Chalonthi area of Sanjauli, Himachal Pradesh’s capital. They suffered serious injuries. Police have registered a case of negligence against the company constructing the flyover.
Let us tell you that the work of building a flyover is going on in Chalonthi of Sanjauli on the Parwanoo-Shimla four lane. Workers work here day and night. It is being told that on Wednesday night around 11 o’clock, the workers were working on the tower crane and were working on building the pillar of the flyover.
During this time, due to strong storm and thunder, the power went out and the workers got injured while descending. After this, the injured workers were taken to IGMC for treatment. After recording the statement of the workers, the police have filed an FIR and now they have started investigating the case.
All four labourers are from Bihar
It is being told that the workers fell down because the crane’s swing was open from the top. Fortunately, all the workers survived. The injured workers include Dilkhush Khan, Mohammad Kaleem Khan, Mohammad Rizwan and Mohammad Chhote. All of them are residents of Begusarai district of Bihar.
A case was filed on the complaint of workers
The workers have lodged a complaint against Raj Contractor Gawar Construction Limited in Dhali police station. The workers allege that the tower crane had an emergency landing facility. But the crane driver did not use it. They have also accused the company management and the contractor of negligence.
