Mumbai, April 21: Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan have completed 18 years of marriage. On the occasion of their wedding anniversary on April 20, Aishwarya Rai shared a picture celebrating with Abhishek and Aaradhya. This picture is also special because Aishwarya Rai has posted a picture with Abhishek on social media after a whole year. The second reason is that some time ago the couple was in the headlines due to divorce rumours.
Aish-Abhishek’s love story was filmy
Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan worked together in films like Dhai Akshar Prem Ke and Kuch Naa Kaho, where they became friends. It was the year 2002 when Abhishek Bachchan got engaged to Karisma Kapoor, although this engagement broke off within a few months. On the other hand, Aishwarya Rai had also broken up with Vivek Oberoi.
If reports are to be believed, both of them started liking each other during the shooting of the film Dhoom 2. Later, they got a chance to work together in Bunty Aur Babli’s song Kajra Re and Mani Ratnam’s film Guru, due to which both of them started getting closer.
Abhishek Bachchan had told in an interview that the premiere of the film Guru had taken place. Both of them were standing in the balcony after the premiere in the freezing cold. Meanwhile, Abhishek suddenly asked Aishwarya, will you marry me? Aishwarya also said yes without wasting any time. The film Guru was released on 12 January 2007 and Abhishek-Aishwarya announced their engagement on 14 January 2007.
