Kailash Mansarovar Yatra to resume on June 30 after 4-Year hiatus due to COVID

The Kailash Mansarovar Yatra is set to resume on June 30, marking its return after a four-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic. 

Dehradun: The Kailash Mansarovar Yatra is set to resume on June 30, marking its return after a four-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Yatra will be organised by the Uttarakhand government and the Ministry of External Affairs. Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Adi Kailash Yatra has made the journey to Kailash Mansarovar easier.

Yatra is closed since 2020 due to covid

The Kailash Mansarovar Yatra organized from the Lipulekh pass of Pithoragarh has not been conducted since 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. But this year, due to the special efforts of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, the Uttarakhand government and the Indian Ministry of External Affairs have decided to start the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra.

It will be organised by Kumaon Mandal Vikas Nigam

On Monday, a meeting was held at the Ministry of External Affairs in New Delhi regarding the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra. It was decided in the meeting that the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra will be conducted by the Kumaon Mandal Vikas Nigam.

This yatra will start from Delhi and will be conducted through the Lipulekh Pass route of Pithoragarh. The yatra will start from June 30, in which a total of 250 travellers will be taken on this yatra in 5 groups of 50 persons each.

Health check-up of all the passengers travelling will be done in Delhi. On reaching Gunji (Pithoragarh), health check-up will be done with the help of ITBP.
